  • Yanglim-dong Historical Culture Village Modern Art Travel
Yangnim-dong is a historical and cultural village where you can see architecture style of 1900’s. You can find stories of Owen, a missionary who made efforts to promote Christianity in Gwangju 100 years ago and Gordon Abyssen, who worked for the rural reconstruction movement and literacy. It is a blend of western style buildings and traditional Korean buildings, and is an attractive place where various cultural events are held.

University street of Gwangju. The street of art was created to succeed and develop the tradition of aesthetic Gwangju which is the center of Honam culture and arts. For the convenience of dancers, calligraphy, ceramics, and handicrafts, the symbolic works of local arts are collected, and it is a place where anyone can easily see the essence of Namdo art, centered on Korean painting, calligraphy and Namdo traditional song.

A market where artists live together. The artists and market traders who have been moving in here since 2008 are making a unique market for people.   • 5·18 Democracy Movement Archives
This archives is a collective memorial of the world’s documentary heritage. It collects and permanently preserves the legacy of the ‘5 · 18 Democracy Movement’, which is a common heritage of humanity, and uses it for democracy and human rights education. It was established to share together. For this purpose, to collect and preserve the 5 · 18 records that have been scattered and scattered in various places, the ‘5 · 18 Democracy Movement Archives’ was established at the old Gwangju Catholic Center in May 1980.

  • Sajik Park Tower
‘Holding Gwangju with too wide arm / Does it make my beatbeat?’, Like a poem of ‘Mudeung Mountain”by Lee Seongbu, Mudeung Mountain is a beautiful mountain holding with Gwangju. Looking down on Gwangju from there, you can see the daytime and other attractions of Gwangju. If you do not have time to go to this mountain, I recommend Gwangju Sajik park observatory near the Chungjang-ro in Gwangju. You can look down on the night view of downtown Gwangju.

  • Dinosaur Tracksite of Seoyu-ri, Hwasun
The Hwasun Dinosaur Tracksite was discovered on May 15, 1999, while exploring the Hwasun hot spring area. Dinosaur footprints are mainly found in coastal areas such as Haenam and Boseong, and this is the first to be found in Chonnam province. The footprints of the Hwasun Seoyu-ri dinosaurs show that one footstep regularly appears at a distance of 40 meters, the largest in the world. The fossils here are found on three floors, and the dry heat is divided into three layers, so it can be guessed that the formation period is long.

  • Mudeungsan Mountain Sheep Ranch
It is not easy to see the sheep playing on the green grassland in the south. Mudeung Mountain Sheep Ranch has been in operation for about 40 years. In a wide grassland of about 100,000 pyeong, the place that started to raise Korean sheep and goats started to grow as a sheep farm. It has now been reborn as the largest sheep farm in Honam and then opened as a tourist farm in celebration of Children’s Day in 2016. When you come here, you can see and touch the sheep directly and it is possible to experience the forest through Mudeung Mountain.
